The LGBT community comprises of individuals championing fortitude and determination. We have seen revolutions begin, and cultural wars end all of which were led by LGBT+ advocates. With that resilience and strength, comes vulnerability, fears and terror. Oftentimes resulting in a host of mental health challenges.
Extensive research has confirmed that the queer community are more likely to encounter mental health challenges. This compounded by ongoing discrimination, the psychological effects of historically being denied civil and human rights, and familial rejection often exacerbates existing symptoms. This is particularly true for those with multiple intersecting socioeconomic and racial identities.

At Boundless, we believe in the power of community and the transformative journey of healing. Studies have shown that LGBT-affirming therapy is particularly effective. One study published in the Journal of Counseling Psychology found that queer-affirmative therapy was associated with significant improvements in mental health outcomes for LGBTQIA+ individuals.
Additionally, research has shown that therapy can be effective in helping LGBTQIA+ individuals navigate issues related to their identities, including coming out, exploring gender identity, and managing family relationships.
Our team comprises LGBT and allied therapists who along with their personal experiences of being in the community come with years of clinical work engaging with LGBTQIA+ individuals. At Boundless, we are your ally, cheerleader, and guide. We aim to foster a culture that embraces diversity and inclusivity by providing trauma-informed, non-judgmental, and compassionate psychotherapy that caters to the distinctive requirements of underrepresented communities.
